M. Yusuf Sert

Associate

M. Yusuf Sert is an associate in Lexist’s Arbitration team, focusing on international and domestic arbitration and complex commercial disputes.

Yusuf has practical experience in arbitration and litigation proceedings before the Turkish courts and arbitral institutions, including DIAC, LCIA, ICC Paris, and ISTAC. His practice covers high-value commercial disputes, enforcement and recognition proceedings, ownership claims and pre- and post-dispute settlement negotiations.

Considered an entrepreneurial advocate, Yusuf graduated with an LL.B. from the prestigious law faculty of Galatasaray University, where he also completed his LL.M. in Private Law. He has authored and peer-reviewed publications on corporate law and international arbitration, such as “Examination of International Bar Association Guidelines on Conflict of Interest in International Arbitration” As a student practitioner he participated successfully in various international moot court competitions, including the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
