Betül Akkurt

Betül Akkurt is an Associate in the Corporate/M&A team, providing legal consultancy services to both domestic and international clients in matters of corporate law, M&A, capital markets, arbitration and commercial law.

Betül advises clients on a wide range of corporate governance and transactional matters, including drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, share purchase agreements, and shareholder agreements. She prepares general assembly and board of directors’ resolutions and supports clients in executing corporate procedures.

She also has experience in capital markets transactions, having supported multiple clients through their IPO processes and coordinating with regulatory authorities. She has taken an active role in large-scale corporate restructurings and demerger projects involving multinational conglomerates spanning multiple jurisdictions. Her practice also includes conducting legal due diligence in M&A transactions, advising on regulatory compliance, and providing legal support in PPP projects.

In addition to her Corporate/M&A practice, Betül has supported the Arbitration team on international proceedings before ICSID, LCIA, ICC, ISTAC, and NAI.

Betül graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Law in 2024 and is currently pursuing a BA in International Relations and Political Sciences at Istanbul University. She completed internships at reputable law firms in Istanbul and Izmir and participated in multiple national arbitration moot court competitions. She was an active member of debate clubs throughout her high school and university years.
